Midstate Magazine is an annual publication of Macon Magazine aimed at giving newcomers to our area a snapshot of what they have to look forward to moving here.
While stereotypes might indicate we’re all about hunting and fishing, we want you to know there’s a lot more to the Midstate than the great outdoors. There is a stimulating cultural life coupled with vibrant commerce. Our counties are growing with new businesses and jobs.
We’re only a short drive from Atlanta, one of the major metropolitan areas of the country. But you can also be wading in the ocean or enjoying a mountain view in a couple of hours. Of course, you can also stay closer to home and enjoy art galleries, world-class concerts, wonderful restaurants and numerous museums.
In fact, we have so much to offer that people often move away only to return. We have a diverse culture and a welcoming manner. We’re proud to call the Midstate home.
